Kyalite Riverside Dwelling

Acre Town Planning successfully obtained development approval for a new dwelling on a rural property at Kyalite, including approval for a variation to the standard river setback controls.

The approved design allows the dwelling to be located approximately 15-20 metres from the Wakool River within an existing cleared area of the property.

The alternative siting allowed the dwelling to be constructed on highest available ground, avoided native vegetation clearing, and minimised disturbance to established access roads and agricultural infrastructure, providing a practical and efficient building location for the landowners.

By demonstrating the planning merits of the proposal, Acre secured an outcome that balanced environmental considerations with the operational needs of the rural enterprise.
