Acre Town Planning was engaged to prepare the Development Application for a new Manufactured Housing Estate at the Barham Lakes site on the Murray River. The project delivers much-needed housing choice for the local community and supporting the long-term growth of Barham providing a high-quality over-55s living community.

Working on behalf of CluBarham and in partnership with Villawood Properties Pty Ltd, our team provided early due diligence advice on land use options for the site and managed the planning approval process from project inception. This included providing statutory planning advice to the client and design team, identifying key planning considerations, and preparing a comprehensive planning assessment to support the proposal.

The development comprises a 224-site Manufactured Housing Estate, including internal road and pedestrian networks, a drainage basin, clubhouse, and a range of community facilities. This innovative housing solution will provide greater housing diversity and affordability for people approaching retirement age, strengthening Barham's ability to meet future housing needs and supporting a vibrant, connected community.
