Calarie Road Forbes Planning Proposal

Acre Town Planning prepared a site-specific Planning Proposal to amend the Forbes Local Environmental Plan 2013, reducing the minimum lot size from 1 hectare to 8,000m². The proposal enabled the subdivision of an existing large lot into two residential allotments while maintaining the character of the surrounding R5 Large Lot Residential zone. Through detailed strategic analysis, we demonstrated why a site-specific amendment represented the best planning outcome over a broader precinct-wide approach, supporting additional housing supply while preserving the integrity of the existing planning framework.
